Have I told you that I joined a choir? Ah well this is complicated. Apparently I have a good voice and they think I'm capable of singing. Kidding :D
But I joined a choir, really. Seriously. Because I have to. The company forced me to. And apparently there's this.. choir competition between Telkom's subsidiary companies which stand under TELKOMGroup's label, held by TELKOM's Board of Director. The event is a national event, so every representative offices in every cities have to send their representative for this event..and since I joined TELKOM choir, I thought I have to ask, where will they put me.
Well since the decision was a bit too long, someone from Yakes called me and asked whether I would like to be in their choir. If it's up to the competition's rule, I have to join Yakes' choir. So I called my boss and asked, should I join Yakes' choir or should I stay put in TELKOM and wait for their decision, whether they want me or not for this competition. My boss said: join Yakes. And so I did. I joined Yakes' choir while still rehearsing for TELKOM's choir. For sometime ..until one day.. that decision came. TELKOM wants me to be in their choir for the competition. I have to resigned from Yakes. It was pretty hard but I thought this may be the best, since I've already join TELKOM's choir, so of course I should be joining the competition with them too..
But I was wrong..
My heart thought I was not at the right place..
First of all until nearly deadline, the choir hasn't rehearsing yet
Second, the leader of the choir is... well.. just.. I don't know how to say it..
Third, they just don't take this thing seriously..they don't even want to win..they said, let's do this for fun
I mean...what's the point of time wasting, energy loosing, and office task that we couldn't do, if we're not aiming for victory? For fun? Like seriously..?
So weird..just weird...
I regret that decision..
Yesterday when we're finally rehearsing.. guess what? The arranger....never heard the song that we're supposed to sing for the competition..
Bummer..
I learned my lesson, I said to myself ...well and to my husband. I would not get anything in the way. If I was even 50% positive about something, I should just go for it and not waiting for some miracle to happen, which in my case, positively far far away from so called miracle.
Okay, I said. For this time. No more, I said again. For next time.
And suddenly a phone call brighten up my day.
"Nana? Would you go back and join us?"
This time I said YES!! 100% positively yes! :)
Thank you Allah, insya Allah I will make the best out of it..
